Description: The college admission and school counseling profession is facing unprecedented times. Together, we are facing the fallout of the Supreme Court's decision on affirmative action as well as the new federal oversight on access and outreach. How can we not only remain true to our institutional commitments to access and inclusive excellence? How might we innovate? We will spend our time together working through case studies creating problems of practice that you share with us. Alexander will serve as the lead facilitator as we truly come together to navigate this new pandemic.

![]() About the Moderator: Lawrence Alexander is an inclusive architect. He brings more than 20 years of professional experience in K-12 education, higher education, social work, and corporate settings. He has more than 13 years of experience in college counseling and admissions, and has served formally as a DEIB administrative leader since 2017.
In 2019, Alexander started the DEIB Search and Consulting Practice at Carney Sandoe and Associates where he led retained searches for school leaders and provided professional coaching for school boards.
To date, Alexander has facilitated inclusive excellence/anti-bias training with more than 80 colleges and universities, inclusive hiring training with more than 60 organizations, and has led more than 25 boards on operationalizing their DEIB work.
Alexander has also worked with professional associations that include NACAC, ATLIS, The Maine School Management Association, MASL(Massachusetts Association of School Librarians), and PSACAC(Pennsylvania State Athletic Collegiate Association Conference).
Recently, Alexander has provided professional learning opportunities for the National Football League and FanDuel. Alexander is the proud father of six children and currently lives in the Southcoast of Massachusetts.
