Community Conversation: Supporting Students in International Crisis

In recent months, we have witnessed and experienced how global crises have affected our students and college counseling/enrollment practices. With the displacement of Afghan refugees, and now the war specifically affecting Ukrainian and Russian students, many admission and counseling professionals have had to swiftly step in to support students and families in unprecedented ways.

Please join fellow professionals in NEACAC for a Community Conversation on this topic. This interactive space is dedicated to share stories, recent best practices, troubleshooting, and idea exchanges among colleagues. Topics may include how you’ve altered application requirements, visa policies, summer plans, alternative enrollment options, social/emotional support in the community, and how to access campus resources and allies. Our goal is for participants to walk away with a better understanding of how to support their students and families in their schools and on their campuses.
